Davide Frisoni: Un viaggio artistico tra realtà urbana, Natura e introspezione
Nato a Rimini nel 1965, dove tuttora vive e lavora, Davide Frisoni si diploma al Liceo Artistico di Rimini e all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, gettando le basi per una carriera artistica prolifica e poliedrica. Le sue opere, che spaziano dalla pittura alla scultura, sono presenti in prestigiose collezioni pubbliche e private, sia in Italia che all’estero, tra cui la Ducati Collection di Tokyo, la Sharon Gallery di San Diego, la Pinacoteca di Crotone e la Fondazione CARIM.
La sua carriera decolla con la vittoria del concorso internazionale Roma 2000, edizioni ’98 e ’99, che lo porta ad esporre in importanti città come Roma, Firenze, Venezia e Parigi. A partire dal 1999, la strada diventa la sua principale fonte di ispirazione, con i suoi paesaggi urbani caratterizzati da auto, fanali, semafori, temporali e lampioni. Queste opere vengono presentate in una mostra personale alla Galleria La Nave Và di Rimini, consacrandolo come finalista al Premio Morlotti e aprendogli le porte a importanti collettive e premi.
Dopo un periodo di collaborazione con Telemarket (2001-2006), Frisoni consolida la sua presenza nel panorama artistico internazionale, partecipando a mostre negli Stati Uniti e ricevendo inviti prestigiosi come l’International ArtExpo’ di New York e la Biennale di Lucca.
Nel 2009, il critico Alberto Agazzani lo seleziona per la Biennale Sismondi di Rimini, dando inizio a una collaborazione che lo vedrà protagonista in diverse mostre di rilievo. La sua partecipazione ad Art Basel Miami nel 2010 e alla Biennale di Venezia nel 2011, su invito di Vittorio Sgarbi, testimoniano la sua crescente notorietà.
Gli anni successivi sono segnati da importanti mostre personali, come “The Human Face” (2012) e “Riflessioni” (2014), e dalla partecipazione a fiere internazionali come BERLINER LISTE e Art Basel Miami. Nel 2014, viene selezionato per il prestigioso BP Award alla National Portrait Gallery di Londra, un ulteriore riconoscimento del suo talento.
Il 2015 è un anno di intensa attività, con mostre personali e collettive in Italia e all’estero, tra cui “Riflessioni Temporali” al Museo della Città di Rimini, che vede le sue opere dialogare con i capolavori del ‘500 e ‘600 della collezione museale.
Negli anni successivi, Frisoni continua ad esporre in importanti gallerie e istituzioni, partecipando a fiere d’arte e realizzando progetti ambiziosi come il ciclo di opere dedicate alla Divina Commedia (2021) e la grande opera murale nella chiesa di San Martino a Bordonchio (2022)
Il 2023 e il 2024 lo vedono protagonista di mostre personali a Milano, Franciacorta e a Polignano a Mare (BA) espone per la prima volta le opere dedicate al tema dell’Ambiente e della Natura, confermando la sua costante evoluzione artistica e la sua capacità di rinnovarsi, pur rimanendo fedele al suo stile inconfondibile.
Davide Frisoni: An Artistic Journey Through Urban Reality, Nature, and Introspection
Born in Rimini in 1965, where he still lives and works, Davide Frisoni graduated from the Rimini Art School and the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts, laying the foundations for a prolific and multifaceted artistic career. His works, which range from painting to sculpture, are present in prestigious public and private collections, both in Italy and abroad, including the Ducati Collection in Tokyo, the Sharon Gallery in San Diego, the Pinacoteca di Crotone, and the CARIM Foundation.
His career took off with the victory in the international competition Roma 2000, editions ’98 and ’99, which led him to exhibit in important cities such as Rome, Florence, Venice, and Paris. Starting in 1999, the street became his main source of inspiration, with its urban landscapes characterized by cars, headlights, traffic lights, storms, and street lamps. These works were presented in a solo exhibition at the Galleria La Nave Và in Rimini, establishing him as a finalist for the Morlotti Prize and opening doors to important group exhibitions and awards.
After a period of collaboration with Telemarket (2001-2006), Frisoni consolidated his presence in the international art scene, participating in exhibitions in the United States and receiving prestigious invitations such as the International ArtExpo’ in New York and the Lucca Biennale.
In 2009, critic Alberto Agazzani selected him for the Sismondi Biennale in Rimini, initiating a collaboration that would see him as a protagonist in several significant exhibitions. His participation in Art Basel Miami in 2010 and the Venice Biennale in 2011, at the invitation of Vittorio Sgarbi, testify to his growing reputation.
The following years were marked by important solo exhibitions, such as “The Human Face” (2012) and “Reflections” (2014), and participation in international fairs like BERLINER LISTE and Art Basel Miami. In 2014, he was selected for the prestigious BP Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London, a further recognition of his talent.
2015 was a year of intense activity, with solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including “Temporal Reflections” at the City Museum of Rimini, which saw his works dialogue with masterpieces from the 16th and 17th centuries in the museum’s collection.
In the following years, Frisoni continued to exhibit in important galleries and institutions, participating in art fairs and realizing ambitious projects such as the cycle of works dedicated to the Divine Comedy (2021) and the large mural in the church of San Martino in Bordonchio (2022).
2023 and 2024 see him as the protagonist of solo exhibitions in Milan, Franciacorta and in Polignano a Mare (BA) he exhibits for the first time works dedicated to the theme of Environment and Nature, confirming his constant artistic evolution and his ability to renew himself, while remaining faithful to his unmistakable style.
